Anyone who knows me, or listens to the podcast, will surely know that it’s been a looooooooooooooooong time since I was actually excited about an MMO. Well, hell has frozen over and I’m pretty fired up about SWTOR. Thanks to the prolific distribution of beta keys, I think Bioware managed to impress a fair number of equally jaded former MMO fanatics besides just me.
With that in mind I’ve decided to purchase the game and have started a guild for Channel Massive. The guild name hearkens back to our old City of Heroes super group called The Hellfire Club. For X-Men comic book readers this will not sound vaguely familiar, I’m sure. Anyway, I like the name’s connotations of evil, fire and bloodshed for a Sith-based guild so…there you have it.
If you’re looking for a casual guild to join with people who probably won’t get to max level in two days but will be smelling the proverbial roses while chatting and being evil, please join me/us and we will rule this universe…yada yada yada. (You know the speech!)
Here’s the URL: http://www.swtor.com/guilds/281387/hellfire-club
If you aren’t able to request to join from that link, just send email to mark@channelmassive.com and I’ll manually invite you.
The cool thing about the way they’ve setup the guild system will make it easy for us to find each other when the pre-release and official launches begin. It’s really something to see this already fully functional well before pre-release.

Applied…. That means 2 more preorders to deployment….once you accept my humble request you stuffy looking need herder!
Alright, it was a down to the wire decision but you’ve been approved and even promoted to officer status…for now. Please feel free to invite your buddies to join and approve them as well. I think you’ll need to enter your preorder info now to get us halfway there. Thanks!
