I haven’t listened yet but I will. Just wanted to say, Jason… fuck yeah!
Hard drinking and as edgy as ever, the Jim Morrison
of video game podcasting has returned.
Good podcast guys, but what was up with Jason’s audio? At least for the iTunes version, his audio constantly wavered from normal to whisper levels and back again almost constantly throughout the podcast. Was it my copy or was this actually an issue of the recording?
Glad to hear everyone liked this episode! …Even though I was aware there were a lot of audio issues with it.
We’re transitioning to a new audio recording and editing suite and it’s unfortunately been a little rough. I had to cut about 10 minutes of content from this episode because it was completely jacked up, so if you noticed some odd transitions and intros within the mailbag and in-app purchasing segments, that’s why.
Specifically regarding the audio volume, we have a number of issues both technologically and physically that we need to address. Jason was using a stationary table mic that he wasn’t always the same distance from (the guy’s animated, as you would expect), and Mark and I are still working out the kinks of volume level adjustment for all hosts during recording.
We’re definitely working on improving this as soon as possible and appreciate you continuing to listen to the show while we get our new audio suite and studio arrangement cleaned up. Mark and I expect to address much of this by the next episode.
