The Seeker Found an Audience

Apparently enough people dig The Legend of the Seeker to bring it back for a second season.

Why?  Has it really improved that much since I watched the first two episodes and chucked my remote at my poor television? Do I need to give this series a second chance or is it still a steaming pile o’ dung not worthy of my time?

Actually, things started getting better about 2 episodes ago with the ‘Denna’ episode. The latest episode, ‘Sacrifice’, though not exactly agreeing with Sword of Truth canon, was still pretty damned good. It had all the painful choices between doing what’s right versus what’s expedient that the books typically illustrate. For what it’s worth, I really enjoyed it. I hope they’re starting to find their groove now. Also, there was blood.

Mark: question is, do I survive watching all the episodes to that point or will I start drooling with fluids leaking from my brain halfway?

I was willing to stick it out so I had a “Fantasy” based show to watch. But after the 4th episode with the bazillionth slow mo fight sequence, I got irritated.
I do not mind the characters, the lady is hot, and the wizard character is amusing. Also, I never read the books, so I would at least be a decent candidate to watch it.
    But, TOO MUCH slow mo!

I have them on queue in Hulu to watch, and I will see if it is worthwhile at least.

    Cheers

How long before we see a SoT MMO?

main selling point: rape and child molestation.
the only avatar animation is the slight lifting of your sword to check if its clear in the scabbard.

The only positive thing I found was they at least got her power right. The description from the book said Thunder without sound, and they managed to do a pretty good job of that with CG.

Other than that the show pretty much is a complete lose. If they had changed the character names and called it something different, people would be more apt to watch it, but when it’s based on a popular book series with loyal and fanatic fans, such as myself, then your just asking for your building to get burned down in the middle of the night.
