Good stuff…I’m installing Age of Conan right now. I wonder, after the server merges, if my city is still there.

I’ll have to think about what I meant by saying Aion is just an average MMO and I like it that way. It’s a great attempt to bring a western MMO philosophy to something that is clearly eastern. So…yeah…I’ll get back to you on that one.

Great show guys, keep up the good work.

One thing I wanted to bring up was DAoC and it’s influence on MMO’s. I often wonder if DAoC was the first class to give Melee classes something to do in combat. EQ and related games often had a more “Hit auto-attack and make a sandwich” style combat for melee classes. DAoC introduced “Styles” Which gave the early tank and melee dps classes actual choices and decisions to make in real time.

While most remember DAoC for it’s PvP, which is still notable and well received with it’s fans, I tend to think the massive change in structured melee combat was one of the big changes that everyone forgets that made the most impact.
