I’m not sure if there should be a “report to your bunker” alarm sound to go with this announcement, or an anticlimactically plaintive, single New Year’s kazoo whine. Whichever your preference, consider this your heads-up that, like a phantom in the mists, the Channel Massive redesign is about to drop. It may drop like a flopping wet fish gasping for air, but we’re fairly confident it won’t.

Ok, we’re a bit glib on the CM team since we’ve wanted to implement this redesign since January 2008. Final implementation has taken stars aligning, virgin sacrifices, the coding manpower of Drew Strickland and Mark Miller, and my design skillz, for it finally to be so close, you can almost smell it.

As for the specific time frame, we’ll say “not tonight” (cue Jason groan) but within the next 72 hours (wait, here’s where you cue Jason groan). There may be some small downtime when it’s put up since we’re upgrading our WordPress along with the implementation, so bear with us through any unforeseen clean-up. And hot on the heels of that launch, expect more features, nifty content and, um, visions, as spearheaded by the Channel Massive Visionary & Tweet-master Jason. It is a bright time indeed.
