Kinda disappointed that I wasn’t invited to debate the ME3 topic with you guys. Being the nerd that I am, I’ve completed all three games and could have brought some perspective to it. But no…I’m not bitter! Much.
Anyhoo, I’m almost in agreement with this theory that has been floating around and is summed up nicely at this blog.

BIG spoiler warnings though! So avoid this link if you don’t want some major plot points blown for you.
There’s a lot of hints that lead me to believe that ME3 wasn’t really the final chapter at all.
Sigh I put this in the wrong place earlier as it took me to another podcast post instead of this one when I clicked on this link… anyway. RE star wars… I didn’t realise I had 92 hours lol, that’s two weeks of gameplay to me as I quit playing after two weeks. My issue; it’s a great game and it’s fantastic with gameplay and the stories are wonderful, but it’s not a good MMO. It’s a great single player game and I can even see co-op being awesome in it sometimes, but it’s not a game I would pay monthly to play. If it were not a monthly pay game I would play the hell out of it. I managed to get into my mid-20′s finishing most of the quests (even elite ones) with little to no trouble on my own. The only time I grouped was the flashpoint on the first spacestation.
Also, for Mass Effect. I played the hell out of the first one with almost 150 hours in it through three characters, finally ending up on an Engineer. I loved the game sooooo much. When I got ME2 I was severely disappointed. It was a terrible game compared to the first one. It took me a long time to get through all the content and story in ME1 and then took me about 25 hours to beat ME2. It was horrible. Due to this I have no interest at all in ME3. As for the endings of ME3, I keep hearing so many people are angered at the endings, but everyone I know seems fine with their endings. If people don’t like it, well fuck it. They are playing a game and that’s the story the game has given you. It doesn’t always turn out stars for you, accept it and move on.
Also having tried them both, Android > iPhone anyday
Jason? I thought you were dead… Seriously there was a Denver Post headline that said your head exploded when the Broncos grabbed Peyton Manning for a five year contract. I even think there’s a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oep4mRpmrkQ&feature=fvwrel
Damn that Michael Ironsides, damn him straight to hell!
Seriously, we’ll have to get the band back together soon and do another podcast. I have a feeling there will be more to be said about the Mass Effect series and Bioware in general in the coming weeks. Now to go read that article you included!
Thanks,
Mark
Ready for it….. *drumroll* Jason, fuck yeah!
That is my completely coherent and dutifully researched contribution to this episode.
You’re welcome people.
